Kira Cares, Inc. is a nonprofit, internationally based mission organization aimed at empowering children confined to the limitations of poverty and abuse on the island of Jamaica.  Working together with communities, families, local institutions in Jamaica, particularly children’s homes, churches, and medical institutions, the organization aims to assist Jamaican children by fostering educational programs and medical initiatives. The programs are targeted at empowering children with tools that will allow for better quality of life when they become adults.

Kira Cares provides a community of care where children can learn civic responsibility, build on their personal strengths and work cooperatively to create a better future for themselves and others.  Members of Kira Cares will practice social responsibility by returning to their communities the skills and lessons they have acquired through mentorship.
